About the city
Argelia is one of the smallest municipalities in northern Valle del Cauca, nestled between El Cairo and Ansermanuevo on the Western Andes. With an economy based primarily on coffee, plantain and hillside livestock farming, the municipality preserves the mountain landscape and the paisa colonial cultural tradition that shaped the entire northern subregion of the department.
