About the city

Bolívar is a municipality in the north-central zone of Valle del Cauca, set on the slopes of the Western Andes. Its economy rests on coffee, panela cane and livestock farming, activities that have defined the rural identity of this locality for generations. The municipality is part of the Antioqueño colonisation tradition that characterises the northern department and preserves the architecture and customs of that cultural heritage.
