About the city
Caicedonia is a municipality in the far northeast of Valle del Cauca, on the border with the department of Quindío, within the UNESCO World Heritage Coffee Cultural Landscape. Its economy is based on coffee, plantain and tropical fruit cultivation, and its mountain setting offers hiking routes and rural tourism that attract visitors from the Coffee Region. The warmth of its people and its paisa colonial architecture have earned it the nickname 'Pearl of the north' of the department.
