About the city
Caorle is a coastal town in the metropolitan city of Venice, in the Veneto, located on the Adriatic coast, between the mouths of the rivers Livenza and Lemene, east of Venice. With just over 7,000 inhabitants, it is a consolidated beach-tourism destination that preserves a picturesque historic centre of fishing origin, with its characteristic cylindrical bell tower. Its beaches and coast favour water and beach sports. Caorle was recognised by ACES Europe as European Town of Sport 2025, a title reserved for municipalities of fewer than 25,000 inhabitants, which places it within the broad Italian representation of the ACES network.
