About the city
Codogno is a town in the province of Lodi, in Lombardy, located in Lower Lombardy, in the fertile agricultural plain of the lower Po valley. With just over 14,000 inhabitants, it is a market and service centre of this rural area, with a long agricultural and cheese-making tradition. Codogno had a notable presence in international news in 2020, being one of the first European towns affected by the pandemic.
