Cota

Cota is a municipality in the department of Cundinamarca belonging to the Sabana Centro Province, located just 15 kilometers northwest of Bogotá at an altitude of 2,566 meters above sea level. Its proximity to the Colombian capital has made it one of the most economically and demographically dynamic territories on the savanna, hosting important industrial parks and business centers that coexist with its traditional agricultural vocation. With around 46,000 inhabitants, Cota combines the profile of a metropolitan dormitory municipality with its own local identity, rooted in horticultural production and its Muisca archaeological heritage.
