Crescentino is a town in the province of Vercelli, in Piedmont, located in the plain of the Po valley, near the confluence with the river Dora Baltea, in an area of rice-growing tradition characteristic of eastern Piedmont. With some 6,000 inhabitants, it is a municipality of the Vercelli agricultural plain. Its flat and river setting favours cycling and outdoor activities. Crescentino was recognised by ACES Europe as European Town of Sport 2023, a title reserved for municipalities of fewer than 25,000 inhabitants, which places it within the broad Italian representation of the ACES network.
