About the city
El Águila is one of the northernmost municipalities of Valle del Cauca, located in the Western Andes at a higher altitude than most of its neighbours. Its cloud forest territory harbours remarkable biodiversity, and its inhabitants are mainly dedicated to coffee and plantain cultivation on steep slopes. The tranquillity of its landscapes and its proximity to the borders of Risaralda and Chocó make it an unexplored nature destination in northern Valle del Cauca.
