Malo is a town in the province of Vicenza, in the Veneto, located in the plain north of Vicenza, near the pre-Alpine hills of the north of the province. With just over 13,000 inhabitants, it is a municipality of agricultural and industrial tradition of the prosperous Vicenza plain. Its setting of plain and nearby hills favours cycling and outdoor activities. Malo was recognised by ACES Europe as European Town of Sport 2012, a title reserved for municipalities of fewer than 25,000 inhabitants, which places it within the broad Italian representation of the ACES network.
