About the city
Morlupo is a small town in the metropolitan city of Rome, in Lazio, located in the Roman countryside north of the capital, in the area of the Tiber valley. With just over 6,000 inhabitants, it is a municipality of residential and agricultural character, with a medieval historic core, in a setting of gentle hills of the Roman metropolitan area. Morlupo was recognised by ACES Europe as European Town of Sport 2013, a title reserved for municipalities of fewer than 25,000 inhabitants that rewards local sports policy as a tool of cohesion and public health, and which places it within the broad Italian representation of the ACES network.
