Motta di Livenza is a town in the province of Treviso, in the Veneto, located on the banks of the river Livenza, in the plain of the east of the province, near the boundary with Friuli. With just over 7,000 inhabitants, it is a municipality of the Veneto plain with an agricultural tradition, with a Marian sanctuary famous in the area. Its flat and river setting favours cycling and outdoor activities. Motta di Livenza was recognised by ACES Europe as European Town of Sport 2023, a title reserved for municipalities of fewer than 25,000 inhabitants, which places it within the broad Italian representation of the ACES network.
