About the city
Pradera is a municipality in southern Valle del Cauca on the western flank of the Central Andes, whose economy is integrated into the sugar cane and agro-industrial corridor that defines the region. With nearly 50,000 inhabitants, it combines sugar cane production on its flat land with hillside crops and a growing tourism offering centred on natural hot springs that emerge from its mountain terrain. Its quality of life and proximity to Cali have driven steady growth over recent decades.
