About the city
San Pedro is a municipality in central Valle del Cauca founded in 1795, known for having the only circular central park in the department — a source of local pride. Situated at 980 metres between Buga and Tuluá, its economy diversifies between sugar cane, plantain, soya and livestock. The municipality has a distinguished musical tradition: its municipal band has won prizes at national competitions, making music as powerful an identity marker as its unique round plaza.
