About the city
San Pedro Garza García is a municipality in the state of Nuevo León, integrated into the Monterrey Metropolitan Area in northeastern Mexico. With 132,169 inhabitants according to the 2020 INEGI Census, it is internationally recognised for having the highest GDP per capita in Mexico and all of Latin America — USD 63,695 in 2021 — a figure comparable to the most advanced economies in the world. This prosperity translates into sustained investment in quality of life, cultural infrastructure, and top-tier sports facilities.
The municipality has an extensive network of public and private sports facilities: Olympic and semi-Olympic pools, a high-performance centre, eight municipal gyms, and more than twenty-five active sport modalities. Its culture of wellbeing and systematic sporting practice positions it as one of the most committed players in the ACES Activa ecosystem in Mexico.
