Sesto San Giovanni is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy, bordering the north-eastern edge of the capital with nearly 80,000 inhabitants. Historically known as the Stalingrad of Italy for its intense industrial and working-class life, the city has undergone a profound urban transformation in recent decades, converting former factories into parks, universities and cultural spaces.
