ACES has recently become a founding partner of the new network of Latin American cities for Sport and Development, Ciudades D +D, which was formed this past 7 July in León (Mexico), the American Capital of Sport 2023.
This network is born of the commitment of all the cities to place sport at the centre of local policies and to promote the excellence of physical activity with indicators, training and good practices.

UNESCO has been the catalyst for this network, in which 16 cities took part in this first meeting, coming from nine countries of the continent and including places such as Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, São Paulo, Bogotá and San José, to name a few.

Once again, ACES positions itself as a promoter of quality sports policies, and this network gives continuity to the one recently created together with Eurocities in Europe through the European Capitals of Sport.
The next meeting of the Red Ciudades D + D will be in 2024 in Santiago de Cali, the American Capital of Sport 2019.
