About the event
Staff from the National University and the Costa Rican Social Security Fund carry out biomechanical tests on older adults taking part in the table tennis practice project. These assessments are carried out at least once a year with the purpose of assessing and monitoring changes in the participants' physical and functional capacities, as well as gathering information to demonstrate the benefits that practising this discipline can bring to the health and well-being of older adults. These tests make it possible to monitor the participants' progress and to provide information for the development and strengthening of the project, particularly in aspects related to mobility, coordination, balance, physical condition and functional performance.
