ACES, in collaboration with the Sport for Development Network (Red D+D) and UNESCO, has once again launched Physical Activity and Sport Month, an international initiative aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and the fundamental role of sport in society.

Throughout the month of April, cities, institutions and organisations from different countries are invited to take part in a wide variety of activities designed to encourage physical exercise, wellbeing and social inclusion through sport.
This initiative aligns with the celebration of key international dates such as the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (6 April) and World Health Day (7 April), reinforcing the importance of physical activity as a driver of health, education and social cohesion.
Physical Activity and Sport Month has the following objectives:
-
Promote regular physical activity among citizens of all ages
-
Raise awareness of the benefits of active lifestyles
-
Strengthen community engagement through sport
-
Highlight the role of sport in sustainable development
ACES encourages all member cities and partners to take an active part and share their initiatives, contributing to a global movement that places sport and health at the heart of society.
