April, Physical Activation and Sport Month, an initiative led by the Latin American Network of Cities for Sport and Development in coordination with ACES America, successfully concluded its first edition, registering the participation of more than 1,200,000 people in more than 414 events across the continent. This annual event, which aims to promote physical activity and sport in the region, took place during the month of April in 21 cities across 10 countries.

In Chile, Santiago stood out with 118 events, becoming the city with the largest number of activities. Mexico also showed significant participation, with 136 events spread across cities such as León, Chihuahua, Mexico City and Mexicali.
The distribution of events in other countries included: • Argentina: Buenos Aires and Puerto Madryn • Colombia: Bogotá, Cali and Montería • Costa Rica: San José and Belén • Ecuador: Portoviejo and Quito • Guatemala: Guatemala City • Honduras: Tegucigalpa • Peru: Chorrillos • Uruguay: Montevideo

"We are tremendously satisfied with the community's response to this event, which serves as a prelude and complement to the American Week of Sport. We are seeing high participation and enthusiasm for sport and physical activity, which motivates us to keep working for health and well-being", stated Gian F Lupattelli, President of ACES.
