ACES, in collaboration with Sinnple, is launching a new series of webinars to present and promote the «Greenest City of Sport» award, an innovative initiative that connects sport and sustainability at the municipal scale.

The online sessions, open and free of charge, will explore how sport can play a key role in building more sustainable, inclusive and environmentally responsible cities.

The «Greenest City of Sport» award recognises cities that actively integrate sustainability into their sporting policies and projects. It highlights the municipalities that promote sport with a positive environmental impact, implement sustainable management of sports facilities and develop innovative, community-based initiatives for their citizens.

During the webinar, participants will gain a full understanding of the award, including its objectives, evaluation criteria and application process. The session will also explain which types of projects are taken into account, how the rules work and how cities can successfully position themselves as leaders in sustainable sporting development.

This initiative builds on the success of the first edition, won by Alcobendas, which demonstrated a firm commitment to combining sporting policies with environmental responsibility and social impact.

The webinar series will take place on different dates and in different regions:

  • 23 April (10:00 CET – Spain)

  • 21 May (16:00 CET – LATAM)

  • 18 June (11:00 CET – EU, session in English)

Through this initiative, ACES continues to reinforce its mission of supporting cities in developing innovative, high-impact and sustainable sporting strategies in Europe and beyond. Cities interested in taking part will have the opportunity to discover how they can compete for the title of «Greenest City of Sport» and become a benchmark at the intersection of sport, sustainability and community development.
